Turf & Equipment Manager - Town of Cardston Lee Creek Valley Golf Course
April 2, 2026

The Town of Cardston is seeking a motivated and experienced Turf & Equipment Manager to oversee maintenance and operations of our golf course and related facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality course conditions, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and supporting safe and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily and seasonal golf course maintenance (turf care, irrigation, landscaping)
Supervise and schedule maintenance staff
Maintain and repair equipment and infrastructure
Monitor turf health and implement agronomic practices
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and OH&S regulations
Qualifications:
Experience in golf course or turf management
Knowledge of irrigation systems and turf care practices
Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Turf management certification or related education is an asset
Pesticide Applicator License is an asset
Working Conditions:
Outdoor, physically demanding work
Early mornings, weekends, and extended hours in peak season
Seasonal workload with off-season planning and maintenance
This is a seasonal position with flexible hours based on operational needs.

You can get involved as a committee member, as a volunteer, or on specific projects. If you have ideas that you would like to see realized, bringing your ideas to the appropriate committee is the best way to sound out your idea and get support for it.

🌤️ End of Season Update – Lee Creek Golf Course 🌤️

Our final day of the season will be Saturday, October 25th! ⛳️

Over the next 10 days, course openings will be weather dependent, so please check in with us if you have any questions or want to confirm tee times. Frost delays may also occur during this time, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.

A huge thank you to everyone for an absolutely fantastic golf season! We’ve loved seeing so many familiar and new faces out on the course. 💚

🚨 Range Ball Reminder 🚨

We need to address a growing concern at our driving range. Year after year, range balls go missing—and this season alone, we’re already down about 2,000 balls.

We kindly ask:
• If you’ve taken range balls, please return them to the range.
• If you’re using them on the course during your round, please stop. Range balls are not meant for play on the course.

This is an ongoing issue, and if it continues, we may be forced to have serious internal discussions about the future of the driving range and its availability for members and guests.

We love providing a place for everyone to practice and warm up, but we need your help in making sure it stays sustainable. Thank you for your cooperation!
