I'm reaching out to social media for name suggestions! Charlie needs a show name. He's an adorable 14hh chestnut pony of some breed (likely QH something at least), with the sweetest face, puppy dog personality, good solid brain and patient demeanor. His show name doesn't have to have Charlie in it. But here's what we're avoiding; Charlie Brown, anything with Charlie Sheen, not Golden Ticket (Charlie and the Chocolate factory reference, that's Kaia's show name). It must be kid friendly, easy to read and pronounce, and not horrifically long. He needs something as adorably cute as he is...suggestions appreciated!

Looking for a barn worker. Horse farm in Sheffield Mills is looking to hire a part time helper in the barn. Duties to include assisting in bringing horses in and out, mucking stalls, filling water buckets, putting hay in stalls. Other duties may arise, but this is the main portion of what we’re looking for at this time.
Applicants must be RELIABLE, trustworthy, hardworking, detail oriented, and willing to work. We are looking for a few week days (3+) starting no later than 8:30am, usually 3-4 hours a day. This is a great summer job, we can wait until the end of June to start or start sooner if able. If you don’t like dirt or horses, we are not looking to hire you. But if you’re looking for a fun group of people and horses to be with, we can chat. Our barn is a special place, we intend to keep it that way. Our horses are family, our clients are friends, and we work really hard to keep it that way.
Pay is commensurate with experience, riding privileges may be worked into the deal if it’s a good fit for everyone…but we’ll have to talk.

Riders....tomorrow is the day. I need your show entries so I can make plans. We're doing our best to keep things as budget friendly as possible, so that means we have to work a little harder and be a little more creative...but that also means I need to know who's coming so we can accomplish that. Be prepared to be chased tomorrow for your picks lol!

Camp spots are almost full! We have one spot on Week 3 open, and 2 spots remaining on Week 6. That's it. We run small groups to ensure each camper gets the most out of their time at the farm. Each day includes a riding lesson, mini horses, games, crafts and so much fun. The Friday afternoon of camp, we run a small horseshow where riders get to invite family and showcase what they've learned over the week. It's an absolutely amazing time! Don't miss out!

Yesterday Brenna and Bryan did a BIG thing. They travelled to Coveside for their biggest and fanciest show ever. Imagine this great big white horse with only one eye competing at this show...and they did. Bryan is not easy, but Brenna navigated all the new things at this massive venue and kept Bryan feeling secure. They went in brand new rings with big fancy jumps and ocean views from the sides, and Bryan jumped. A few moments of hesitation and Brenna talked him through it and they got around the rings beautifully. Not a single ribbon was won, but they definitely came out the winners all on their own. Well done Brenna and Bryan, you made us all proud of how well you handled every moment

Reminder to riders to get those entries in this week so we can make sure we've got a proper headcount. We can't wait! I'll be sending out an info sheet to all the families asap too. Let's do this!

Did you hear the news? Our team won BEST GROUP entry for the parade! Not too shabby for a first time entry...but what we lacked in Nova Scotia experience, we made up for in ENTHUSIASM! You guys are giving me all sorts of ideas for the next ones. Just wait until Christmas and see what we have for the minis then too!
