The U-13 Bow Valley Bears have started the season 5 and 1 in their pre-season seeding play! The real season kicked off this past Saturday with a big win 48 to 40 over a tough East Pro Yellow team! The team rallied to come back from a 20 - 6 deficit after a 1st quarter rife with turnovers and what seemed like a lid on the basket with 3 strong quarters of solid defense and good fast break offense for the win!

School is back in, the fall season is upon us and I am excited to announce the beginning of the 2nd year of the Bow Valley Basketball Development Program!

After great Fall and Winter sessions last year we proceeded into a fantastic Spring Club Basketball season. Both our U13 and U15 teams made some tremendous strides over the season!

Some exciting changes to talk about for this years Development Program.

We have expanded our gym times to accommodate age specific training across all of the age groups from U11 to U18!

All age groups will practice on Sundays for 1.5 hours and every other Wednesday for another 1.5 hours.

In addition to this we have the option of playing weekly games in Calgary as part of the Calgary Minor Basketball Association!

We are still working with the CMBA to finalize what the additional fee for this will be as it is separate but I am confident it will be reasonable. The only caveat for this is that we have the numbers at each age category to be able to field our own teams so talk it up / forward this message to anyone you feel may be interested! The goal of this program remains to grow the game of basketball in the Bow Valley and provide the highest level of athletic experience to every participant!
