August days, and Pigeon Spire to ourselves... what a day!
Matt is 69 and a badass. He climbed the Beckey Chouinard in 1975 at age 15 with a rack of 12 nuts, and took care of Fred Beckey in his later years. He's also a judge and helps climbers working on access issues, protecting crags for the future. Next day we did Kain route via Pigeon col, a long day by any means. Be like Matt!
