.k.bol been killing it this offseason….through distance coaching. Never really met him before he started training with me over email and text and calls.

5 months later. Massive changes. These are just photos of the physical appearance….but his performance changes through his hard work is paying off. Just got his first US college offer. Still has another year or highschool left. Grade 12 is gonna be a big season for him.

My dude. Lukas Thomson.

What a highschool career!

Came to me in grade 9. Covid starting. Weak and not athletic.
He chose to change that…and he did. The next year he decided to give football a shot and play with his big bro, (who was in grade 12 and another great ball player enjoying his time playing for St.FX at the moment)

Lukas ends up starting at O-Line(guard) as a grade 10 player. Finishes the year winning city championships and named top guard in the city. Grinds harder thru the off season. Max now off to St.FX and Lukas steps up to play guard and part time at nose tackle. Gets too guard AND top nose tackle in the city.

Now we come to a close of his final highschool season. Named team captain, plays both ways again(and in my mind, awaiting the awards to be announced and takin them again).

This “kid” (as I call anyone younger than me….which is most people I know hahaha)….is one of my boys(whom I call the boys close to my heart). He was shy and timid when I met him. Now he coaches the little atom kids (8-10yrs old). He lead his highschool team as a captain…. He leads his little guys as a coach. He has come so far as a man, and he’s still just getting started.

When he started playing I used to imagine and look forward to seeing him in his grade 12 year. Now that the grade 12 year is done….I wish we could go back in time to the beginning and watch it all unfold again. Like a movie you want to watch again but now it’s all just memories. And now it’s time to make some more memories and watch what happens next unfold at the next level, or anything in life he takes on with the kind of strength and resilience he has now.

It’s been a pleasure having him commit to s*m*a*s*h.
And this off-season leading in to the unknown is sure to be the best.
