Guseikai Calgary Wado Group Guseikai Calgary is a karate club that teaches the traditional style of Wado Ryu. The CZWKA is affiliated to the JKF Wado Kai which is located in Tokyo, Japan.

Guseikai Calgary is a karate club and it teaches the traditional style of Wado Ryu. It is the only karate club located in the SW of Calgary that is registered with the Canadian ZenKuRen Wado Karate Association (CZWKA), a member of the Japan Karate Federation (JKF) Wado Kai. We are also members of Karate Alberta (the only governing body for amateur karate that is recognized by the Alberta Governmen

t) and Karate Canada. The Japan Karate Federation is the only organization recognized by the Japanese government to represent karate in Japan. The CZWKA, under the leadership by Sensei Norma Foster (7th Dan), is the only official Wado-Kai group recognized in Canada.

We are so proud of you all, challenging your DAN exams this past week and the effort and dedication that we saw during not only your testing but also during the training sessions ahead of it!

Three days of great wado training led by Sensei Norma Foster and Sensei Peter Stoddart!!
Learned a lot and there is so much more to improve.
Thank you to all participants. You guys rock!!!
Special mention to Sensei David and Ethan of Sentenashi and their students as well as Sensei Murray and his students that travelled from Ottawa. Can’t wait to see and train with you all again soon.

Our club will host a Wado-kai Technical Seminar and Dan Examination in June 2024.
We will have the honor and pleasure to train with Sensei Norma Foster (7th Dan JKF Wado-Kai and 2nd Kyu Examiner), and Sensei Peter Stoddart (6th Dan JKF Wado-Kai and 2nd Kyu Examiner).
The seminar will take place in Calgary from June 14 to 16, 2024.
On June 15th will also host official JKF Wado-kai examination for 1st - 3rd Dan.
We are looking forward to welcoming you!
