Throughout 2024 and 2025, we heard feedback from community members about safety concerns in the Big Marlborough Park west parking lot, located between Maidstone Drive N.E. and Madeira Gate N.E. In addition, we heard from community members during engagement that pathway connections into the park from the west parking lot needed to be improved.

As a result, we are conducting a public survey to gather feedback from nearby residents, community members, and park users regarding the safety in the parking lot, as well as their opinion about the function of the existing parking lot.

We invite you and your organization to take part in our online survey as valued community partners. The feedback gathered will help inform the redesign of the west parking lot.

The public survey will be open from May 11 to 25, at Big Marlborough Park Master Plan | Engage. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

A job well done by the edging crew at Thorncliffe yesterday!

- If you’re wondering WHY this was done, those ovals markers on the map attached actually play as HAZARD (+1 stroke, play from where your disc lies).
- The bushes surrounding the course (lined by red) play as OUT OF BOUNDS. (+1 stroke, play your next shot from where your disc entered OB).
- The 2 stars marked on hole 3 play as a DOUBLE MANDO! (+1 stroke if you miss the mandos, play from between the trees). This helps with pace of place and safety for others on the course.

If you wish to receive the free disc (or to donate the disc to Disc Golf Calgary) and not have to pay the shipping, you can submit your required proof to [email protected] with attention to Kelle. You need to mention that you are with Disc Golf Calgary along with your full name and email address. All the discs will be sent to Disc Golf Calgary and we will contact you to distribute your disc.

Why can’t it be earth day every day!? Always feel free to pick up garbage on the course, properly store away ci******es and zin pouches and recycle your empties! ♻️🗑️

A reminder that our Earth Day Clean Up events are this Sunday! All of the events are up on UDisc for cleanups at Big Marlborough, Forest Lawn, Lindsay Park, and Thorncliffe. Please note we currently do not have a Clean Up Ambassador for Big Marlborough so it you are interested then please email Luke Gleadall at [email protected].

In addition, we are happy to announce that these events are part of Trash Panda’s Earth Day Bingo where you can get a FREE Dune or Canyon! Also we have arranged with Trash Panda to pay for shipping for all Calgary orders.

2026 TUESDAY FLIGHT LEAGUE:

Starts: Tuesday, May 5, 2026
Ends: Tuesday, June 30, 2026
Location: Currie Disc Golf Course
League Size: Unlimited
Time: Flex Start Times between 3:00PM and 6:30PM
Cost: $100.
9 League Nights Nightly cost of $10, plus $10 admin fee to cover permit costs.
Players will be re-imbursed at season end by e-transfer.

General Concept:
This will be a 9-week league.
League Format: For this year only, will be running the league as a UDisc Handicap League. Top 40% of handicapped results will be paid each night.
League will be held at Currie Disc Golf Course.
Scores will be recorded using UDisc.
