Having a goal is great but enjoying the process is so much better !!
You under value what you have right now when you spend energy valuing the things that you want in the future..… but when we are always chasing we’re not being present ….
goals give you a sense of purpose they give you a sense of direction and they encourage you to set up the systems that you need to grow beyond your previous capacities and into a better, wiser, more bad ass version of yourself…
however the problem is so many of us delay our happiness forever because we are always thinking there’s a better life just on the horizon …when i loose 5lbs, when i go on vacation, when i get the new car… when I start to meditate….the list goes on…
…you have to feel excited about the success you have right now….to better yourself, you have to look at yourself and be proud today- that’s success!!! to stand tall and say nice things to yourself…. maybe uncomfortable at first … but, you have to allow yourself to feel the things you think you might feel when you achieve the goal… and with this you might find that the goal is a little less important … your happiness doesn’t hinge on you dropping your body fat or getting the dream house … the biggest take away is that you enjoy the steps you’re taking each day to be the person you want to be, so that as you move through life you’re doing so with presence, appreciation and hopefully an ability to be happy right here, now and today ❤️
