Reminder that the sportsplex will be closed on Tuesday

Oki Siksika,

The Deerfoot Sportsplex will be closed to the public and staff on Tuesday, September 8 for scheduled pressure testing of the new CO2 piping, part of our Ice Plant Upgrade Project. No one will be permitted on-site, including in the gymnasium, arena, Deerfoot Athletic Club, meeting spaces, staff offices, storage spaces, outdoor rink, or parking lot while a certified inspector oversees the test.

We expect to reopen with regular hours on Wednesday, September 9, but please watch this page for confirmation.

Thank you for your patience as we upgrade our facility.

The Next Generation Day Camp Program extends its sincere gratitude to our dedicated participants and summer students, whose daily commitment made this program a success.

2026 Summer Student Staff
Post-Secondary Students: Levitt Maguire, Sage Running Rabbit, and Joshua Winnipeg

High School Students: Mina Rabbit Carrier, Felicia Calf Robe, Brock Smith, Braxton Yellow Old Woman, Lyman Running Rabbit, Paiden Doore, Emery Medicine Shield, and Keaton Labelle

We also extend our appreciation to our Custodian and Maintenance staff, SN7 Team, Siksika Health Services, Siksika Fire & Rescue, Happy Place Rentals YYC, Tubby’s Party Rentals, and MarkusLovidoves Arts and Crafts for their essential support.

As this program concludes, we kindly ask parents to complete a brief, anonymous review. Your feedback is vital in helping us secure funding for next year’s program. We hope to see you all again next summer!

🌞🎉 What a way to wrap up the summer! 🎉🌞

Today we celebrated the end of another fun-filled summer with our Summer End Staff & Campers BBQ! 🥳

Our campers got to enjoy an afternoon full of laughter, games, water activities, face painting, balloon twisting, bouncy houses, and of course, lots of good food! 💦🎨🎈🍿

A huge thank you to all of our summer staff for the time, energy, patience, and care you put into making this summer special for our kids. ❤️
And thank you to all of the families who trusted us with their children and joined us throughout the summer!

We hope everyone had an amazing afternoon and made some great memories to take with them. ☀️💛

What an unforgettable summer! Our campers and staff have been bringing the energy, laughter, and non-stop fun every single day. Today marks the official last day of the Next Generation Day Camp Program and we’re wrapping up the season with an exclusive End-of-Summer BBQ just for our incredible campers and staff! 🍔🌭

Today we’re getting active with traditional sports activities lead by Sayder Duck Chief; including Double Ball, Hoop & Spear, and so much more!

Run As One was an amazing week, and now we’re back to our regular Next Generation Day Camp schedule! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome the day camp kids back for another week of fun, friendship, learning, games, crafts, outdoor activities, and positive experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
