Have you found yourself not doing something because of fear? I am sure we all have at some point in our lives. I know that I have. It’s not so much the fear; it’s what we do with it.

There are 6 major fears and we can struggle with more than one at any given time. The 6 Major Fears are:

❌The Fear of Failure
❌The Fear of Success
❌The Fear of Rejection
❌The Fear of Inadequacy
❌The Fear of the Unknown
❌The Fear of Commitment

You can fear Failure and Success at the same time. That may not make sense at first glance, but neither does the fear that we have. According to Psychology Today, only 8.6% of our fears come true. That means 91.4% don’t. Why, then, do we let fear rule our lives? We deserve the success and richness that comes from living a life free of fear.

Maybe we won’t live truly fearless, but we need to look at what the fear is, and step into it. Afraid to make that sales call? Is fear stopping you from taking the next step in your career? Are you afraid to go into business for yourself? Taking that first step will reduce the fear and give you a feeling of power that you didn’t have before. As they say at Nike “Just Do It.” You will be better for it.

So often in life, we don’t get what we deserve and what we work for because we let fear get in our way.

❌ Fear is bo***ge

❌ Fear prevents us from being the best us that we can be

❌ Fear doesn’t allow us to move into the world with confidence, knowing that we have a message that others need to hear.

❌ To quote a song by Zac Williams, “Fear, he is a liar.” Why do we let liars rule our lives?

How often have you made a decision to do something and then nothing happens? Self-sabotage is real. We distract ourselves from achieving our goals through “busy work,” which is doing something, but it doesn’t get us any closer to the finish line. I know that this is something that I have struggled with. At least now that I am aware, I can catch those moments and make the switch to being productive and moving closer to achieving my goals.

How we see ourselves is critical to our successes. When we let our past determine our present, we prevent ourselves from becoming the best version of ourselves possible. We struggle with imposter syndrome and then sabotage ourselves because we really can’t see ourselves as that successful person.
