🏄‍♀️ New to SUP? A few quick tips to help you feel a little more confident - and a little less wobbly! ☀️

🌊 1. Start on your knees
Your knees are your friends. Your knees have your back. Literally. Get comfortable first - there’s no prize for standing up in the first 12 seconds (although there may be applause). 👏

🦶 2. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart
Not too close together, not doing the splits either. 😄 Keep those feet facing forward and let them do their balancing magic!

🧘‍♀️ 3. Soften your knees
It helps you move with the water. Standing stiff as a board? That’s actually the paddleboard’s job. 😂 Soft knees turn your legs into shock absorbers on the water. Try to relax…. even if you’re shaking a little with newbie nerves.

👀 4. Look where you want to go
Your body tends to follow your gaze. So look ahead - not down at your feet wondering if they’re still there. They are. Probably. 😏 And if you’re staring at that yummy post-paddle snack… well honestly, I can’t blame you. 🍪

😂 5. Expect a wobble
Wobbling doesn’t mean you’re failing - it means you’re paddle boarding! And if you do fall in? Congratulations! 🎉 You’ve officially completed the traditional SUP initiation ceremony. Enjoy the refreshing dip. ☀️

💙 Most importantly: Relax, have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously. You don’t need to be super fit, sporty or perfectly balanced to learn to SUP. You just need to be willing to try something new. Give it a go... you'll love it! 💙
