An immigration Consultant of Canada, Mr. Devesh Shakir who resides in Ontario recently shared information on his official page as a "Disturbing news". that ACA has refused to Sanction application of AWCL for Canada Day Cup.
Alberta Cricket Association's position is that this information is not only bogus, false but far from facts.
Infact ACA has issued conditional sanction but asked AWCL to provide further documentation. For example, Ground permits, Insurance, etc. etc. THESE ARE REQUIRED FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PLAYERS.
Facts are
1- ACA has waived application fees for AWCL. even as AWCL is provincial association and direct competitor of ACA.
2- ACA decided to send its official team to participate.
3- ACA is fully paying for all the travelling, accommodation, logistics of its women team.
4- ACA is paying registration fees to AWCL for ACA's team.
5- ACA won't be paying for umpires, Since AWCL is NOT ACA'S MEMBER.
No one is above bylaws and policies, men's or women's, ....Period...
ACA won't sanction any application until full documentation is not provided.
Mr. Shakar failed to do his due diligence and decided to defame ACA as he always does. He insults ACA players and management and use his official page to destroy ACA's reputation, and this is not the only time.
ACA has retained a council to take matters to Kings bench of Alberta before the start of Canada Day's Cup.
ACA team's participation to Canda Day event is subject to AWCL's official response on this matter.
