Mooseduro Course will be released next weekend on Trailforks! Keep an eye here and at www.alberta66mtb.com/mooseduro for the link.

As usual the course will be a solid day on MMBTS - Best MTB in Alberta MMBTS TRAILS ⚡️ on the bike - luckily we have sustenance provided by several of our awesome Gold level sponsors.

First up Devil's Head Coffee will kick off our day with hot beverages and caffeine while you’re in line for registration ☕️

Second stop - Heather Cleveland - Realtor ® always has an amazing spread at her aid station on course - last year included sweet and savoury options 🥒🍫

Third stop - Scott Wearmouth has suprised us every year with his aid station set up, two years ago was classy charcuterie, last year was taquitos (warmed with a microwave run by a generator).. this year? We can’t wait to see! 🌮🍾

Finish line - you made it! Time to celebrate! As always our friends The Bragg Creek Bakery will be providing us delicious sandwiches and chips - with vegan and gluten free options. These guys go above and beyond every year ❤️

Finally Born Brewing Co. are bringing back Racing Moose ale - our special brew that tastes best fresh off the bike. 🍻

10 years ago this month, in August 2016, we incorporated Alberta 66 MTB! We wanted to take a moment to share our origin story, and thank you all for being a part of our special little business ❤️

Back in 2016 Laura was working up in Peace River, Alberta as a FIFO field production engineer. She worked with several oil field operations folks who all seemed to have a side hustle - being a mechanic, farming, trapping (yes an actual guy who ran a trap line and traded furs!) - where they invested in their passions and hobbies outside of work.

Jeff had been running a weekly ride group that started in the 90s as a few friends and by 2016 had grown to over 100 people connecting over bikes in a Facebook group.

Laura and Jeff started racing the BC Enduro series in 2013 and in July 2016 did the TransBC Enduro. That race series and the TransBC in particular included a lot of folks who love biking and had made a living from biking - either guiding, coaching, owning a bike shop, trail building or just being a rad ambassador in their community.

Shortly after the TransBC Laura thought - hey why don’t we start our own side hustle? We love biking and we routinely show people around Moose. Let’s start coaching and guiding and see how it goes!

Jeff was reluctant at first.. saying “if we turn what we love into a job, we won’t love it anymore..” Laura ignored him and started the company anyways, signing them up for PMBIA training and first aid.

In our second season Jeffy turned to Laura one day after a coaching session where someone had told him he was the best teacher they ever had - and said “I always thought jobs were things you just had to suffer through. You made me a job I actually love. Thank you”.

And here we are 10 years later, still loving every minute of the ride. Laura isn’t coaching or guiding as much these days (she’s enginerding more), but Jeff is out every day, and we’ve brought in incredible staff who live and breathe bikes and make us proud with how they represent AB66 ❤️.

Thank you all for letting us be part of the incredible community at Moose Mountain. We wouldn’t be here without your support, patronage and stoke for riding bikes!

Seats open for each day.
Still the best way to maximize your shuttle time on Moose Mountain.

These are guided days, but that doesn't mean it's only for people unfamiliar with the mountain. Our regulars know! The guide just keeps things moving and makes sure everyone ends up in the same spot (otherwise an issue at Moose).

DM with questions, register online.

We are guilty of using rad looking images of expert riders on heavy duty terrain. It gets people hyped, and sells seats on our more advanced level Shuttle Days. We forget that such images can be intimidating to those that are interested in having a day of shuttle uplift riding, but are looking for a less advanced experience.
Our Green Shuttle Days might be the right fit for you! While there are very few entirely green trails at moose mountain, there are several that are primarily green with a few more difficult sections. Our approach is; we make sure everyone is aware of what is coming, we move at whatever pace is comfortable to the individual (faster riders can zoom down and meet at the bottom), and no one feels rushed or unsafe. There is always the entirely welcome option to walk short sections.
It is recommended that all participants have mountain bike experience, but you don't need to be an expert on the Green Shuttle Day.

9 spots remain for this Sunday the 9th. The weather looks good, with no rain predicted to till after our day.
10am to 3pm, $85
