Canada just got a lot brighter โ๏ธ
Sara Sara Sadeghi (Sarveshi Yoga) is officially one of Canadaโs newest citizens ๐จ๐ฆ
At her citizenship ceremony, welcoming 84 new Canadians from 24 countries, Saraโs own words were read at the ceremony.
โGood afternoon. My name is Sara, and I am from Iran.
Today is a very meaningful day for me.
I come from a country where many women have grown up facing restrictions and suppression, where freedoms that many people take for granted can be difficult to attain. As an Iranian woman, I learned resilience, patience, and strength from a very young age.
But I have always been a free spirit.
Even while living in Iran, where there were many restrictions and limitations, that free spirit was always within me. I carried it quietly, even when I could not fully express it outwardly.
Now, in Canada, I feel I can finally live this free spirit openly. I can teach yoga, dance freely, and be myself without fear. I feel more able to express who I truly am and to live in alignment with my heart.
Coming to Canada has given me the opportunity to experience a different kind of lifeโone where I feel safer, more seen, and more hopeful about the future. It has allowed me to dream more freely and to build a life with dignity and possibility.
I am deeply grateful to Soroush Soroush Rezaian for bringing me to Canada and for being part of this journey. I am also thankful to everyone who has supported me and helped me feel at home here.
Today, I become a Canadian citizen with a heart full of gratitude. I carry my Persian roots with pride, and I embrace my future in Canada with hope, appreciation, and a strong sense of belonging.
Thank you.โ
We are so touched, so proud, and so grateful Sara is part of the Santosha family and now, officially, a Canadian citizen. We adore you Sara ๐
