North Hill Curling Club

Proudly serving curlers since 1927. All skill levels and ages welcome!

North Hill Community Curling Club (NHCC) operates solely as a six-sheet curling club which is open from late-September through to early-April. Most of the curlers are involved in league play, although the club also welcomes individual, families and social groups and corporate events as ice availability permits. The club also offers a learn-to-curl program, which caters to curlers of all skill leve

ls. NHCC is a not-for-profit entity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, with daily operations managed by paid staff. The club provides ice for its patrons, a café and lounge, and seating areas for viewing.

Ben Hebert is coming to Goldline Calgary on Sunday, September 13, and we’re putting him in the dunk tank.

Even better, his daughter Sloane will be there to see if she can show everyone how it’s done.

We’re excited to announce a brand-new 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 $𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗔 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽! 🎓🥌

This scholarship recognizes a junior curler — competitive 𝗢𝗥 recreational — who has been an active part of the CYCA community and has a passion for curling.

𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁:

• Be 𝟭𝟵 𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿
• Be graduating in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 or have already graduated
• Have participated in the 𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 for at least 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀

Designed as the next step after Discover Curling YYC, Ice Breakers gives newer curlers the opportunity to keep learning the game, build confidence on the ice, and put their developing skills into action.

If you’ve learned the basics but aren’t quite ready to jump into one of our regular leagues, Ice Breakers is the perfect bridge. You’ll continue developing your game while gaining more experience in a fun, supportive league environment.

🍳 WE’RE HIRING! Join the North Hill team!

As we get ready for another busy curling season, North Hill Curling Club is looking for a Cook to help support our kitchen operations throughout the season.

This is a temporary, casual, seasonal position with flexible hours, primarily during evenings and weekends — a great fit for someone who enjoys cooking, working with people, and being part of a fun club environment.

We’re looking for someone who can:
👨‍🍳 Prepare and cook delicious, high-quality meals
🥘 Follow recipes and food safety standards
🧹 Keep a clean and organized kitchen
🤝 Work alongside our kitchen team to provide excellent service
📦 Help monitor food supplies and place orders when needed

Whether our members are coming off the ice, gathering in the lounge, or joining us for an event, our kitchen is a big part of the North Hill experience — and we’re looking for another great person to join the team!

Since 2021, Discover Curling YYC has been helping new and novice curlers get comfortable on the ice in a fun, welcoming environment. And this isn’t your typical curling league — every game starts with a 15-minute lesson, giving you the chance to learn and build your skills as you play.
