Calgary Fencing Club is welcoming new and returning fencers for our Fall 2026 session!

Whether you've never picked up a sword before or you're already an experienced fencer, come learn, train, and have fun in a welcoming and inclusive club environment.

Our final FUNDrive campaign numbers are coming in: the Calgary Fencing Club collected an impressive 661 pounds of items, ranging from wallets to video games to flower pots! 🎉 100% of campaign funds are earmarked to pay for our upcoming wave of renovation efforts as we continue to prepare our Club to reopen 🤺

A huge thank-you to our community, coaches, board members, and fencers who generously donated to our fundraising effort, and also those who stuck around to help transport them to Value Village last Sunday!

As summer draws to an end, we've been hard at work to prepare our Club to reopen this fall with a number of renovations in the works. To help fund these upgrades, we've partnered with our local Value Village and will be hosting a FUNdrive this September! Every penny will go toward these renovations, which range from HVAC upgrades to setting up our armoury.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be gathering donations of gently used goods over three collection days at our new Club - a perfect chance to declutter your closets and check out our new location! Additional details on our FUNdrive are found below or on our campaign website (see QR code below).

We’ve been quiet for a little while… but we’ve been hard at work! The CFC team is excited to announce that we are moving our Club to a new location at📍4114 23 Street NE! Stay tuned as we post updates about the renovations and upgrades we will be making this summer to prepare our Club to reopen in the fall. Huge shoutout to all the volunteers, board members and coaches without whom this move would not have been possible! Fencers, see you in the Fall! 🤺

Calgary Fencing Club Summer Drop-Ins & Beginner Fall Registration Summer has arrived! Starting July 07, we will be open Thursdays 5:30-7:00 pm for summer drop-in classes. Hello Fencers! Our home facility (the Vecova Center) will be taking part in the Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program and as such we will be following suit. Proof of vaccination and ID will be needed at the door and you may only enter through the main doors, no access from the Studio 3 Entrance. For more information see https://vecova.ca/fourthwave/

Proof of vaccination status for those over 12 years old will be required to access Vecova’s Main Centre for all programs and services.
