Last week, we had the opportunity to meet up for dinner with Dean and Leanne from the McIntyre Group, our title sponsor for the upcoming 2026/27 season!

Since 1984, the McIntyre Group has specialized in installations for projects, including commercial and business interiors, acoustics, office renovations, and warehouse distribution. They have a family-oriented culture of work ethic, community involvement, loyalty, and looking after their people and clients.

Sam and Scott are excited to team up with Owen and Gavin for the upcoming season.

Owen and Gavin both bring strong experience and proven success. Owen has skipped his team to bronze medals at the 2022 World Juniors and the 2023 World University Games, and most recently captured the 2025 Nova Scotia Men’s Tankard.

Gavin is a familiar face, having joined Sam and Scott as their alternate at the 2025 Brier. He also brings valuable experience from multiple Canadian Junior Championships and U SPORTS Canadian University Championships.

Excited to get started!

After two great seasons together, highlighted by several tour victories and the honour of representing Team Ontario at the 2025 Brier, Team Mooibroek will be parting ways heading into the 2026–2027 season.
Sam, Ryan, Scott, and Nate will each be pursuing new opportunities moving forward.
We are grateful to everyone who supported our team along the way. Thank you to our coach Jake Higgs, our manager Rob Steele, everyone at Curling Canada, as well as our sponsors, family, and friends who made these two seasons so memorable.
Representing Ontario and competing together across Canada are memories we will always be proud of. We look forward to what lies ahead.
