The kids are grown and chasing dreams across Canada. For almost 20 years CrossFit Calgary has been an extended home - not just for them, but for us all. With full hearts and deep reflection, Rhiannon and I have made the difficult decision to sell our Crowfoot property and retire the CrossFit Calgary brand. Our last day of class will be Sat. Dec.20 and all are welcome. An email to our valued members has already been sent and there are more to come as we close this incredible chapter. To each of you, Rhiannon and I express our deepest gratitude and love for the time that we have spent together, for the relationships and experiences we have shared and for the support you have provided. I could not exit this stage of our lives without giving thanks to my mentor and friend, our founder, Greg Glassman. Through his innovation and relentless pursuit of virtuosity, my world and the world of so many have been permanently changed. I also cannot move forward without thanks to the many incredibly capable CrossFitters and coaches that I have met along the way. Notably I want to thank , and .carroll, who ensure that this vital body of work continues to positively influence this and future generations to come. Finally and not least, my deepest appreciation to our beloved CFC coaches. The time we shared, the dedication you bestowed and the relationships we cultivated will forever be cherished. Thank you. While I know that this will come as a surprise to many, I want to share this: Change is necessary for growth. Two things that my dad taught me: “Anything worth doing is worth doing to the best of your ability”; and “Always leave things better than when you came”. I believe we have accomplished this. We are better because of our experience at CFC. We have lived our values (BCFC), Believe in People, Cultivate Knowledge, Foster Community, Compete to be Better and through these choices we have “Lifted Ourselves and One Another”. We are each capable of so much more and it is my belief that we will take this strength and use it to build on what we have started. This is not an end, rather a new and exciting beginning.
