It took a few extra weeks for real summer to hit Calgary. But now that it has, the City’s amped up its sweet summa time game with every kind of festival hitting the parks every weekend and keeping the streets fresh and lush with an array of flowers pots spilling over with colour. Those big black cauldron-y pots lining Pearce Estate are spilling with damn fine pink and purple flowers, giving the walk to the studio a lil extra style. Now that those once apocalyptic looking patios of Calgary fill every day and any possible concert venue is booked solid til the end of August, we’re easily seduced by that instinctive wild abandon to drop everything, get the hell outside and let our wintered skin remember what Vitamin D feels like – along with the smell of Aloe Vera on a sunburn.

At Stax, we’re all about living in the moment and committing to doing the best for ourselves now to set us up for success down the road. Now that true summer has hit YYC, we want our crew to take it in as much as possible before the sun and spice slips through our fingers and changes into fall.
