⚾ West of the 5th Baseball – Finalized 2026 Season Update ⚾
After waiting until the new year, we want to thank those who have shown interest in being part of our board to help run baseball west of the 5th.

Unfortunately, we needed more people to be engaged and ready to help out. Officially, the West of the 5th Baseball 2026 season will not be moving forward due to low volunteer involvement.

West of the 5th Baseball is 100% volunteer-run, and without a committed board in place, we cannot operate the season as our players and families deserve.

If enough community members are willing to step into board roles and help run the program, we will hopefully be able to run for the 2027 season. Interest would need to be confirmed by the end of November 2026 for this to be feasible.

If you are interested in helping keep this program alive or would like more information about what board involvement looks like, please send us a message to [email protected] or get in touch directly with our current board members.

The positions we are looking to fill are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Equipment Manager and Ump Coordinator. Our current board is willing to help guide new members to ensure a smooth transition.

⚾ West of the 5th Baseball – 2026 Season Update ⚾

After our board meeting tonight, we want to share an important update with our community.

At this time, the West of the 5th Baseball 2026 season will not be moving forward due to low volunteer involvement. We did not have enough new individuals step forward to support the program at a board level, which is required to responsibly run this community program.

West of the 5th Baseball is 100% volunteer-run, and without a committed board in place, we cannot operate the season as our players and families deserve.

*This decision may be reconsidered.*
If enough community members are willing to step into board roles and help run the program, we will revisit the possibility of a 2026 season. Interest would need to be confirmed by early January 2026 for this to be feasible.

REMINDER! West of the 5th Baseball Virtual Meeting it tonight!

This is an important meeting. Some of our current board members need to step down due to life changes, and we truly need new volunteers to keep the program running. We only hold two meetings per year, so the time commitment is low on the board positions front but incredibly meaningful for our players.

Open Roles for 2026

We are especially looking for a new President, and our current person is happy to support whoever steps into the role for a smooth transition. We also welcome volunteers for other positions, including:

Teams Manager

Equipment Manager

Spring Clinic Coordinator

Directors at large

General helpers throughout the season

Coaches will be confirmed after registration, but we do keep preference lists where possible.

Our association is 100% volunteer-run, and your involvement — in any capacity — helps ensure we can continue offering baseball to families in our community.

We’d love to see you at the meeting, hear your ideas, and hopefully welcome a few new members to the team. Please share with anyone interested in joining baseball this year!
