What a way to end the year! The final round of VRRA at Shannonville Motorsport Park had great weather. Pat Boyd, Aaron and Alan ran the 3 hour endurance race on Friday and brought the Black Fly Beverage Company Kawasaki Ninja 400 home in first place in the modern lightweight class and 7th overall. It was Aaron's first time riding the 400 and he was a bit tired after a solid 1 hour run. The Dunlop tires from pro 6 held up perfect.
Saturday Alan had 2 heat races in Modern Lightweight and Battle of the Twins. Both races had great battles with Dwayne Bucholtz, David Mailhot Tanguay and Bernard Roy. Alan finished 3rd in both heats setting up a great grid for Sunday's finals.

Saturday night was an amazing track dinner with the lightweight crew. Paul Taylor made an awesome chili.

Sunday morning brought about a dead rear tire warmer Dwayne came to the rescue with a spare so that Alan would have optimal tire pressures for the start of the races. First race of the day was the makeup Battle of the Twins race from Calabogie Motorsports Park. Once again Alan had a great battle with Dwayne and brought it home in third place. Second race of the day was the Battle of the twins race and once again battling with Dwayne for the whole race. Alan came to the finish in 4th this time.
The final race of the day was Modern lightweight. The front row of the grid was the same four Riders from the heat race and it was an awesome battle the entire race long. Unfortunately a minor mistake on the last lap dropped Alan into fourth place but he did his fastest lap of the weekend with a 1:59.993.

We won the 2025 Modern Lightweight Endurance championship.
Alan finished 2nd overall in Modern Lightweight sprints and Battle of the twins.

We have to thank all the people who helped us out all year.

Did someone say racing?

is making his return to racing next weekend .ca

This will be the first weekend in quite a few years that Alan and Aaron both throw their legs over a bike, with Alan racing the Ninja 400 and Aaron reuniting with his R6 from previous CSBK Campaigns.

Thanks to the people who stepped up in the last few weeks to put this last round effort together!

*Special Thanks are in order to for giving the green light on Aaron racing just 3 months after their daughter Violet was born

Alan spent a fun 4 days at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park . It started with a Thursday trackday on the Yamaha R6 lots of fun at Canada's fastest race track. Friday was the start of VRRA round 3 practice and the endurance race. Team Shoulder Check rider Pat Boyd started the race and did the first hour with Alan taking over and bringing home a 2nd place finish.
Saturday was a hot day and Alan had two heat races in the modern lightweight class and Battle of the Twins. He had some great battles in both heats.
Sunday was a lot cooler and Alan finished in 6th place in both finals but had some great back and forth battles with several different riders.
Burns racing gave out lots of Black Fly Beverage Company drinks over the weekend the perfect way to end a hot day of Racing.

As always we have to thank the supporters that make all this possible.

VRRA round 2 race report.

After winning the modern lightweight endurance race in the rain on Friday with Pat Boyd, Alan skipped the wet Saturday morning practice session. He lined up the Ninja 400 on the 6th row for the Battle of the twins heat race. A great battle with Harvey Renaud and Dwayne Bucholtz led to a 6th place finish.

The modern lightweight heat was a few races later and had Alan with a front row start beside David Mailhot Tanguay another race long battle led to a 3rd place finish.

Sunday had a few too many red flags and due to the delays, the Modern lightweight race was the only one that Alan got to race in. Another race-long battle with Harvey and Dwayne led to a 4th place finish. We hope that all the racers make full recoveries.

Race weekends are a lot of fun when you have lots of friends to hang out with and this weekend was proof of that.

We have to thank all the people who make this possible.
Black Fly Beverage Company we gave away a lot of refreshing drinks after racing was done on the hot sunny days.
