Apprentice Supports Spotlight: Private Vehicle Mileage (To & From Training)

Eligible apprentices may be able to receive Private Vehicle Mileage at $0.55 per km, to a maximum of $385 each way, for transportation to and from the course location at the beginning and end of technical training.

This support is intended to help offset longer-distance travel costs when you need to get to your training location and return home once training is complete.

Company: Canada Core

Canada Core is currently building a camp and is looking for a Camp Cook to join the team.

🍳 Duties include:

Preparing breakfast and dinner daily

Preparing sandwiches and baking ahead of time for lunches

🏠 Currently cooking out of a house in Houston, BC for 4–6 people
🏕️ Once camp construction is complete, operations will move to a 25-person camp

📍 Ideal candidate lives in or near Houston

💰 Wage: $300–$350 per day (depending on experience)

Eligibility: Indigenous individuals living on reserve, ages 18 to 64, receiving on-reserve income assistance.

Program Date: January 19 - February 27, 2026
Register by Friday, January 2, 2026.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: Tuition-free
💵 Bonus: Training allowance (attendance-based) + Lunch provided
