16+ Roller hockey is cancelled on June 15th. Roller hockey will resume on Monday June 22nd from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

NOTICE: Temporary Skate Park Closure (For maintenance work)

Please note, the skate park will be closed for approximately two (2) weeks to complete concrete repairs and epoxy surface coating. The space will be fenced off during this time, and we ask the public to please stay out of the space while the closure is in effect.

Anticipated Start Date: June 18th, 2026

We appreciate your patience as we complete these improvements to enhance safety and user experience, as well as extending the life of this community asset.

Registration is open for this program! afternoon art camps led by Lakes District Arts Council!

The annual 𝕊𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝔸𝕣𝕥 ℂ𝕒𝕞𝕡 for kids will be the first week of August again this year. We hope your kiddos can join us in the afternoons to learn new techniques and have fun creating!

Some projects this year will include: watercolour, hand painted rocks for a larger stepping stone, driftwood windchimes, and more!

Babysitter Training course will be held on July 18th-19th 2026 in the MPR at the Lakeside Multiplex. To register stop by the Lakeside Multiplex, give us a call at 250 692 3817 or register online at www.burnslake.ca/recreation/

The Babysitter Training Course teaches participants how to be successful babysitters. Topics covered include: caring for children (3 months old to school-aged), guiding children's behavior, handling emergencies, caring for a sick or injured child, prevention and basic First Aid.

Participants of this course must be at least 12 years old or turning 12 in 2026. Students must attend all course sessions and successfully pass the final exam to receive their certificate.

The Canada Safety Council recommends that the Babysitter Training Course be supplemented with First Aid and CPR training. First Aid and CPR certification is not included in this course.
