Penny Chess Club Student Larry Yang Helps Team BC Win National Third Place
At the 37th Canadian Chess Challenge recently held in Winnipeg, outstanding Penny Chess Club student Larry Yang represented British Columbia in the Grade 7 division and helped Team BC secure an impressive third-place finish nationally.
As one of Canada’s most prestigious youth chess competitions, the Canadian Chess Challenge brings together top young chess players from across the country each year. This year’s national finals featured intense competition and a very high level of play.
Throughout the tournament, Larry Yang demonstrated strong chess skills, composure under pressure, and excellent sportsmanship, making an important contribution to Team BC’s success. His achievement reflects not only his dedication and hard work, but also Penny Chess Club’s commitment to developing young chess talent.
