The Halton Region Volleyball Club (HURRICANES) is a nationally prominent volleyball program dedicated to developing youth players through strong fundamental and technical skills instruction. We are committed to providing a training environment that builds leadership, a competitive mentality, and encourages excellence in individual and team achievement. As a young club we already can claim multiple
Provincial and National Championships both indoor and beach! HRVC is different from other clubs that you may have been involved in for several reasons. HRVC offers a year-round training facility (indoor & beach), but more importantly, HRVC is set up as a complete program that allows players to develop and grow as they continue with the club. The Hurricanes Volleyball program is completely dedicated to providing its athletes with the technical, tactical and physical training needed to reach their highest possible potential. We strive to help each athlete achieve maximum performance. We have two seasons, first is indoor starting with tryouts in September. Teams train 2-3 times per week and high performance teams also work with physical training coaches on practice nights for strength and conditioning. All teams benefit from our mental training program during the season. Teams participate in volleyball tournaments organized by Ontario Volleyball (OVA), Volleyball Canada (VC) as well as US tournaments (AAU, JVA, USAV). Our beach season starts in May and runs through August with athletes training twice per week at our 4 exclusive Trinity Beach Courts. Our Professional Beach Coach Gaby Jobst (FIVB) runs all training.
