Super proud of 12 year old Alyssa Jin and Taryn Stewart’s amazing mare Happy Dayz SL8 for winning the Jr/Am 0.90m Classic at the Masterfeeds Summer Showcase at Caledon Equestrian Park and also taking home the division championship! 🏆🥇

Another incredible week for Hailey Cho and her superstar gelding Chip Z. With two flawless rides in both the CET Medal and the Jump Canada Medal at the System Equine Cup at Caledon Equestrian Park, they took home top honours in both classes. 🏆🏆
This 15 year old young lady continues to impress, as she’s consistently riding at a level well beyond her years. It’s great to see that all her hard work and dedication to the sport are really paying off. Proud coach! 💪💪

What an incredible week for Katelyn Nethercott and her wonderful gelding Oz Royale at CEP Spring 2! They earned top placings in the Jr/Am 1.0m Jumpers all week, capped off by winning the Classic on Sunday and securing the division championship.

I’m especially happy for these two after Oz sustained a frustrating bone bruise injury that kept them out of competition all last year. It was a long winter of reconditioning and training, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see all that hard work pay off with such dominant performances at their first horse show in two years.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for this pair… super exciting!! 💪💪🥇🏆

Thank you to the OHJA for this recognition with the 2025 Leading Equitation Trainer of the Year award. I couldn’t have done it without the entire team at CDS, particularly our manager Megan Williams, our talented assistant trainer Riley Buitenhuis, and all of the other dedicated staff working tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen.
And of course, a big shoutout to my two talented Big Eq stars and their horses: Hailey Cho & Chip Z, and Julia Carr & Chevalier De Charmeur - two exceptional students with remarkable talent and dedication to excellence. Day 2 at Hailey and Chip Z’s first show of the season at the Caledon Equestrian Park Spring Series brought another great result 🐴✨
8th overall in the $3,000 Founders Cup Derby presented by Pommies and 1st in the Jr/Am overlay 🥇👏

Still working out a few kinks, but these two are sure to give the pros a run for their money in this class in the not too distant future 🔥💪🐎

Big congrats to Hailey Cho and her incredible partner Chip Z on an amazing start to the season! 🏆✨
On their very first day at the very first show of the year, Hailey absolutely knocked it out of the park, taking home the win in the Canadian Open Equitation after winning BOTH the gymnastics phase and the jumping phase, along with an impressive 2nd place finish in the CET Medal. 👏
What made it even more exciting was how polished and consistent the riding looked right out of the gate. Hailey and Chip Z came out looking like they were already in mid-season form, delivering confident, sophisticated, and polished rounds all day long.
A huge congratulations as well to the entire CDS team for all the hard work behind the scenes and during the off season - it takes a hard working village to make it look so effortless. We’re incredibly proud and excited for what’s ahead this season! 💙🐴🔥
