IBSA alum Sara Toneguzzi has signed with Virtus Academy Benevento in Italy to begin her professional basketball career! 🏀✍️

From years of training at the IBSA Academy to a phenomenal university career at the University of British Columbia, Sara has continued to work, grow, and chase her dream. Now, that journey is taking her overseas to play professionally.

Watching someone who grew up in our academy reach this milestone is exactly why we do what we do. Sara, we’re so proud of you and everything you’ve worked for! 🙌

To every young player with a big dream: keep showing up, keep putting in the work, and give yourself a chance to see how far you can go.

You get corrected. You get coached. You learn to READ the game. 🧠🏀

At IBSA, our coaches are focused on the details. We’re not interested in teaching players meaningless dribbling moves just to look good in a workout - we teach players how to recognize what the defense is giving them and make the right decision.

On the drive:
👀 Early help → Pull-up jumper
👀 Late help → Floater
👀 No help → Get to the rim

The best players don’t decide what move they’re going to make before they attack. They read, react, and make the right play.

That’s the difference between working on moves and learning how to actually play the game.
