Hey Everyone!

We hope you all enjoyed your thanksgiving weekend!

As we are now in the 3rd week of play for our Burlington Dart League 2026-2027 season, any outstanding registration fees are due this week. We will be sending out separate emails to any captains with outstanding registration fees.

We will be at the Burlington Legion on Thursday October 15th at 7:30 pm in the Lower lounge to collect any outstanding fees. If you are unable to make it, please email the league for payment arrangement.

If registration fees are not paid this week, ANY UNPAID PLAYER will be UNABLE to play until paid.

We are back this week with the first week of darts! Mixed division started us off last night with some great games!

This is an important reminder to all Burlington Dart League players and markers regarding the use of cell phones and electronic scoreboards during league play.

As outlined in our Burlington Dart League Constitution, the following rules must be followed:

Cell Phones: As per Sections 6.1.2, 7.1.2 and 8.1.3, all markers are required to have their cell phones turned off while marking a game.

Electronic Scoreboards: As per Section 4.3 of our Constitution, all venues are required to have marking boards, and the use of electronic markers is strictly prohibited.

These rules apply to all divisions (Men's, Women's and Mixed) and are in place to ensure fair and consistent play throughout the league.

We ask that all players, markers and captains familiarize themselves with these requirements and ensure they are followed throughout the season. Captains are responsible for communicating these expectations to their teams.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain fair play and sportsmanship throughout the Burlington Dart League.

Starting off our first night of the 2026-2027 season is our Monday night Mixed Dart league beginning is Monday September 28th, 2026.

Good luck to everyone this season! May you shoot well, hit those double, find those 180's and most importantly HAVE FUN! 🍻🎯

We encourage everyone to go into this season with positive attitudes, open minds and a willingness to support one another. We have players of all levels and experience, from beginners picking up darts for the first time to seasoned players who have been throwing for years. This is what makes our league so great! ❤️

Remember - we are here to compte but were also here to have fun, meet new people, enjoy some friendly competition, and grow the game of darts in our community.

So grad your darts, bring your A-game, cheer on your teammates and get ready for another awesome season of Burlington Dart League action! 🎯🔥

REMINDER!!!

AGM TONIGHT 7:00 pm - lower lounge at the Burlington Legion Burlington Branch 60.

The executive committee will be there at 6:00 pm for any player or team with outstanding registration fees. Remember no player can play unless they are paid.

There are a few proposed changes to the Burlington Dart League Constitution that will be presented for discussion and voting at the AGM.

We ask that all members take a few minutes to review the proposed amendments below before the meeting. This will allow everyone to come prepared with any questions, comments, or concerns.

WOMEN’S LEAGUE – PROPOSED CHANGES:

The proposed changes are intended to adjust the order of play and ensure the forfeited games for teams playing with fewer than six players align with the revised game order.

Current 21-Game Format

Teams Playing with 4 Players - Under the proposed format, the 7 forfeited games would be:

MEN’S LEAGUE – PROPOSED CHANGE:

The proposed amendment applies to Men’s Division 1 and would change how Cricket games are played.

Current Rule – 6.2.2.1
“1st Division men will play 2 out of 3 for all games including playoffs.”

Proposed Rule – 6.2.2.1
“1st Division men will play 2 out of 3 games for all games except for Cricket. All Cricket games will be one game only.”

In other words, Division 1 Cricket games would be played as a single game, while all other games would continue to be 2 out of 3, including playoffs.

AGM DISCUSSION & VOTE
All proposed changes will be reviewed, discussed, and voted on at the AGM.

We encourage everyone to read through the proposed amendments in advance and come prepared to participate in the discussion. The AGM is an opportunity for league members to ask questions, provide feedback, and have their say on the rules that govern our league.

The Burlington Dart League will be hosting our annual General Meeting on Wednesday September 23rd, 2026 at 7:00 pm downstairs in the lounge at the Burlington Legion Branch 60 located at 828 Legion Road, Burlington ON.

This meeting is open to ALL league members - mixed, men and women, to attend. Please kindly forward this to your teammates.

REMINDER! Registration tonight at the Burlington Legion!

Hey Burlington Dart League!

We hope you are all enjoying your summer and hope you and your teams are getting ready for another great 2026-2027 dart season!

GREAT NEWS!

We will be holding Registration for the Mens, Womens, and Mixed Divisions on Wednesday August 19th and Wednesday August 26th, 2026 from 7 PM – 9 PM at the Burlington Legion (downstairs).

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1. Each Team can register a minimum of 6 players up to a maximum of 12. For the mixed League a minimum of 2 ladies and 2 men are required.

2. Venue registration fee is $50 per team, to be paid by the VENUE and to be paid on registration night. Supplying snacks to the home and visiting teams is at the discretion of venue management.

3. Player registration fee is $35 per player. A minimum of $210 in player registration fees is to be paid on registration night. The balance of the player registration fees must be paid by the 3rd (third) League playing night. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. Any player whose registration fees are not received before the 3rd League playing night will not be eligible to play and all captains will be notified accordingly.

4. All players must be registered by the Team captain. Fees are payable to the BURLINGTON DART LEAGUE and must be accompanied by a completed registration form indicating Team Name and Venue together with player name and contact information.

5. After the season has commenced, for any new player joining a Team, notification must be given one week in advance to the League Secretary and Results Secretary along with the $35 registration fee.

6. No player can sign or be transferred to another Team after December 31st of that playing season.

7. Any NSF cheques received by the League must be settled within 7 days of notification with the amount due plus bank charges and a $25 penalty charge. Failure to settle will result in the Team being ineligible to play.

If teams are looking for a venue, please reach out to us and we can offer suggestions of venues who are looking for teams.

Lastly, we will be holding a general meeting around the third week of Sept once registration and schedules are complete to discuss the league and rules. Stay tuned for a date.
