RVH timing.
Be aware of when you drop into your rvh. The mistake most people make is they drop when the pass is already moving. Be down prior to pass and not sitting in it too long (freeze your hips).
On the shuffle the important part is to be able to set your feet before the save. We have a mechanism that I used to time it perfectly to have your feet set.

2022 was a wonderful ride for the Munce family.
We got so blessed by God this year and it will be tough to write it all down!
We almost gave up hope after 6 years of trying to get pregnant lady year and were a few days away from having to endure a grueling IVF treatment when we found out we were pregnant. Haven greeted us in June of this year and we couldn't have asked for a better baby. She's our world and perfect.
Becoming a dad and having new responsibilities has been amazing and incredible. Still being a husband and having date night was a huge key to us not losing ourselves in the change.
Our dear friends took on Haven as a new member of our team and have shown so much love and patience to her and us. Thank you.
On the business side, I can't thank the Moore's enough for everything they have done. I'm blessed to call The Pond my home and they are fantastic, amazing people who I'm so glad to have met. I enjoy seeing them when I walk in each day and love just chatting hockey and life with them. Thank you Greg, Ryan and Michele!
Thank you to CCM for partnering with our school and for the demo gear! Funny how God's timing works as just when the Moore's introduced us and I recieved the gear, I got a call from asking if I wanted to play in the Leafs alumni game. It was a fantastic experience I won't forget!
I can't wait to see what 2023 brings as we approach the new year with so much positive momentum!

Aggressive hands in tight...
Make sure you have your hands ready to launch out and down towards the shot in tight.
It takes away anything the puck can see.
Make sure you time it correctly, keep the hands back and as the shooter goes to shoot then push out and down to the puck.
Trevor does a great job letting me think I have the rebound and open net but times it perfectly.
If you can, have soft hands from far and hard hands in close and battle for those close/midrange shots.

Zone entry to in tight battling drill, let's break it down...
On zone entry make sure to step out to the "second crease" (they have them in some rinks, if not just imagine). Then work back to your crease slowly for the save. Keeping a bit of momentum is key.
Notice how his hands go from far shot to closer shot transition (hands up near shoulders to down near pads and hips)
Keep the hands low in tight and set your feet for the save.
Shooting high in close takes a lot of time and is easier to read and react too. So keep those hands low and defend.
I love his battle and using the desperation technique we talked about before. Using one big limb (leg and arm/hand on leg and working up), rather than just shooting individual limbs with no connection.
When your team is scrambling, catch that puck or freeze it. Stop the play so your team can regroup.
Once again, keep those hands low and connected to the body in tight!

Stopping rims and body drives...
Driving your body over your leg for saves will take away the net faster and give you more glove control and pick tracking.
It's crucial in the development of a goaltender to NOT stay rigid in the middle of your butterfly.
Move those hips, push over your legs, be athletic!

Continuous 2-0 net plays...
Leg burner!
Great for end of session bagger to get your post work in and battles while tired.
