Congratulations Beth!
Beth, a former BGC board member and Recreation Manger was the recipient of the 2025-2026 Gymnastics Ontario Recognition Award!
Beth’s involvement in gymnastics spans a lifetime. She began her journey as one of the original competitive athletes at Burlington Gymnastics Club, where she also started her coaching career. Her passion for the sport led her to continue her athletic and academic pursuits as a member of the York University gymnastics team.
Following her university years, Beth returned to Burlington Gymnastics Club and dedicated more than 20 years as the club’s Recreation Manager. Throughout her tenure, she played an instrumental role in developing quality programs, mentoring staff, and creating positive experiences for thousands of young gymnasts and families. While Beth now has pursued a career as an Educational Assistant with the school board, she is still very involved in the gymnastics community.
Beth’s passion for coach education and development has had a profound impact across Ontario and beyond. As a Foundations Learning Facilitator, she has trained and mentored well over 1,500 coaches. Her expertise and commitment have taken her throughout Ontario and as far as Manitoba and Iqaluit.
Despite her many commitments, Beth has remained closely connected to Burlington Gymnastics Club. She served as a member of the club’s Board of Directors for five years and continues to generously volunteer her time to support coach education, staff training, and professional development initiatives. Her willingness to share her knowledge, mentor emerging coaches, and support the growth of others has left a lasting impact on so many.
Beth’s lifelong dedication to gymnastics, combined with her unwavering commitment to coach development and community service, exemplifies the values of leadership, excellence, and mentorship that Gymnastics Ontario strives to recognize. Her contributions have influenced generations of gymnasts and coaches, and her passion continues to strengthen the sport at every level.
Beth can still be seen around the gym conducting courses and offering support to our coaches!
