Swim Programs For All Ages and Levels. Throughout it's 40 year history the Upper Canada Swim Club (UCSC) has trained children and young adults in the sport of competitive swimming with truly outstanding results. Designed to take the athlete from introduction to int

ernational, the UCSC program is dedicated to delivering innovative, multi-faceted and high-performance swim programs available to the youth of our community. UCSC's professional coaching staff is committed to the development of healthy, well adjusted athletes who contribute not only to their team but to their communities. We provide a club structure that permits each swimmer to achieve excellence in all areas of their life:

1. Physical excellence and life skills are developed through hard work, discipline, team spirit, self-esteem, fun and individual achievement.

2. Through competition we will let the swimmers develop a sense of commitment to training and to the team.

3. Through the collaborative efforts of our athletes, coaches, parents, community stakeholders, governing bodies and associations, we hope to further the recognition of the sport of swimming both locally and nationally.

4. We strive to create a passion for excellence and a lifelong commitment to health and fitness. Upper Canada Swim Club is a not-for-profit organization coached by a dedicated group of professionals and is managed and supported by an enthusiastic group of parent volunteers.

Congratulations to Chesney Y on his commitment to Trent University, where he will pursue an Honours Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence this fall!

A valued member of the Upper Canada River Otters, Chesney credits swimming with helping shape the person he is today. Reflecting on his years with UCRO, he shared that the sport challenged him to develop tenacity, dedication, time management, motivation, and the drive to pursue his goals. What began as a new activity soon became a passion fueled by competition, friendships, family, personal ambitions, and a genuine love for the sport.

As he begins this exciting new chapter at Trent University, Chesney looks forward to staying connected to the swimming community by exploring opportunities in coaching and leadership. He is grateful for the friendships, experiences, and lifelong lessons he gained through the Upper Canada River Otters and says he will never forget his UCRO family.

Congratulations to Katie C on her commitment to Laurentian University, where she will begin her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Biology this fall alongside her twin sister, Chloe!

A dedicated member of the Upper Canada River Otters, Katie has embraced every challenge throughout her swimming journey. Reflecting on her experience with UCRO, Katie shared that swimming taught her how to push through difficult moments, build resilience, and identify areas for growth and improvement.

Katie is excited to carry these valuable lessons forward as she joins Laurentian Universityโ€™s varsity cross-country and track team while pursuing her academic goals in Biomedical Biology.

Congratulations to Declan A on his commitment to Trent University, where he will begin his Honours Bachelor of Arts (History Co-op) program this fall!

Declan has been part of the YMCA community since he was six months old and joined the Upper Canada River Otters at the age of five.

Throughout his years with the club, he balanced swimming alongside several other sports, including BMHA hockey, basketball at BCI, and, this past year, swimming for the BCI swim team.

We are proud of all that Declan has accomplished both in and out of the pool and wish him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter at Trent University.

Today, we proudly celebrate four graduating Upper Canada River Otters swimmers as they embark on exciting new chapters in their lives.

Congratulations to Katie and Chloe C., who have committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at Laurentian University, and to Declan A. and Chesney Y., who will be pursuing their post-secondary education at Trent University.

Each of these athletes has contributed greatly to our club through their dedication, perseverance, sportsmanship, and leadership. They have helped shape the UCRO community and have left a lasting impression on teammates, coaches, and families alike.

As they move forward to new opportunities and experiences, we wish them every success in their academic pursuits and future endeavors. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see what lies ahead.

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat on the pool deck and those who worked hard outdoors to stay warm and dry. Your time, energy, and dedication helped create a fantastic experience for our athletes and families.

A huge thank you as well to Brockville Hyundai for sponsoring our BBQ and generously providing the food for todayโ€™s event. Your support helped make our final swim meet of the season even more special.

The Upper Canada River Otters are excited to host our final swim meet of the season, Splash & Grill, at the YMCA today!

A special thank you to Brockville Hyundai for sponsoring the Grill and generously donating food for our athletes. While the sun may be hiding behind the clouds, our swimmers are ready to shine in and out of the pool.

Good luck to all competitors, and thank you to our volunteers, families, and supporters for helping make this event a success!

Registration is now open for our 2026 Summer Swim Programs running from **July 6 to August 21, 2026**.

We offer **three training sessions** throughout the summer for swimmers of all abilities:

๐ŸŠ **Junior & Youth Programs (Ages 6โ€“12)**
๐ŸŠ **Performance Stream Program**

Our swimmers will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting one-day swim meets at outdoor pools throughout the region.

These meets are a fun, supportive introduction to competitive swimming and a great way to build confidence, skills, and friendships.
