At the 1977 Canadian short course Championships in Edmonton she set World Best Times in both the 200 and 400 Metres Individual Medley. In her career she won 17 Canadian National titles and 38 Championship medals. By 12 years of age she had set 12 National age Group records and in 1973 she was the youngest participant in the Second Canada Summer Games in New Westminster. Some great info from our friends at Technosport ๐Ÿ‘

Letโ€™s try to remember these tips in practice tomorrow morning ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Tuesday Swim Tips:
โญ๏ธ Work on good body alignment. No matter what stroke youโ€™re swimming, staying horizontal near the surface of the water will be your most efficient position. Losing your alignment even slightly โ€“ by pushing your head too far down, lifting it up, kicking yourself too high out of the water, or sinking your lower body โ€“ will block your forward momentum.
โญ๏ธ Practice and master your breathing. Learning how to breathe when swimming is crucial to actually be able to swim for a considerable amount of time and length. But incorrect breathing technique will slow you down. The key is to minimize the time it takes to complete a breath without disrupting body alignment or the flow of your strokes.
