The Brighton Tennis Club had its end of the year /AGM on Saturday 4/25. It was held at Callen’s house. The venue was perfect as well as the weather. There was no lack of food and a good time was had by all! Here are a few pictures of players receiving trophies for winning the ladder tournament, and receiving special awards. We also celebrated Murray being 91 years young.

The Smash Cage is once again coming to Brighton.!The Ontario Tennis Association will be setting it up at the courts on Saturday September 27 during Applefest weekend. It will be available from 10 am to 2 pm. Come and check out the speed of your serve !
Please note that this event will be cancelled if it rains. A big thank you to John H for organizing it.
The courts will be closed for regular tennis that day from 9:30 am till 3 pm.

The club invited the Sunny Day Group to come and hit some balls with us on Wednesday August 6 from 11 am to noon .
Towards the end, their eye - hand coordination improved and some participants were able to have little rallies. Well done!

We had a good turnout for our women tournament on July 8 and the slight breeze was a bonus . We had two new members in our top 5 placements. Congrats to Hong , Kerry and Sarah ( tied for second / with only 1% away from first place!) , Maren, Karen and Heather . Thanks to Val for bringing the refreshments.

Our junior tennis event held on June 28 was a success. The weather cooperated after it had rained overnight .The winner for the skill event for the 6-8 yrs old was Brayden.The winner for the round robin for the 9 yrs old and up was Atlas. Congratulations to both of you. As the morning progressed, improvements were seen in the games , better positioning on the courts , better serves and longer rallies. Well done everyone !

A big thank you to Val ,Sandy and Kerry for helping out.
