Today was motor install day in the shop. I wish we could’ve made it out to the race at Merrittville speedway with the SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS but with some part being on back order and only finishing motor assembly Thursday night there was not enough time with work to allow for an initial fire up. As long as the first fire up goes well we plan on having the car out July 17th at OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY for autograph night.

Tonight we were set to race at Ohsweken speedway but sadly our night ended abruptly. In hotlaps the car felt great it was pulling hard down the straight but then we had a miss. When we got back to the pits we thought it was a fueling issue but when we tried to push the car back to clear it out the motor was locked up. After some further investigation we found bearing material in the oil filter. Right now we are going to pull the motor and try to get the main motor back together for June 27th when we race at BUXTON SPEEDWAY with the SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS

It’s been a tough season so far but I’d like to thank everyone who helps us out.

As a disclaimer we took the engine out and found it was a parts failure and not an issue with the lubricants used in the motor.

Tonight’s racing didn’t go as planned. We started the night by having to change out a leaking frost plug. In hotlaps the car had a miss so we pulled off and found some fueling issues. For our heat we started 9th ran a couple laps but the car still wasn’t right so we pulled off in 8th. We kept diagnosing and trying to fix the issues between the heat and feature. For the feature we started 22nd dropped back to 24th we passed one car but the car still had the miss so we pulled in after 10 laps to preserve what we had ending in 24th for the night. After a mid week motor swap today was supposed to be race day so we made the trip out to buxton speedway. Unfortunately when we got to the track the decision was made to cancel the races for tonight. We will be racing again June 12th with the SOS at ohsweken speedway.

Not the news we were hoping for race 1 with the Southern Ontario Sprints has been cancelled today. Time to start looking forward to our next race with them May 16th at Buxton speedway.
