Daniel Cyr grew up playing badminton. Picked up a pickleball paddle a few years back and never looked back.

He made the trip to Moncton for the Atlantic Regional Championship and came home with medals. His brother Phil? Same thing. Both of them putting in work on the same court, both walking away with hardware.

Two brothers. Two paddles. A lot of trophies between them.

Meet Joe Healey.

Since May alone, Joe has won gold at The Picklr in Winnipeg, gold at a Kids for Sport fundraiser, taken first place in a 4.0 event at an MLP tournament in Regina, and picked up silver at another 4.0 event in Virden. Winnepeg Provincials then Westerns in Medicine Hat are still on the schedule.

The man is not slowing down.

We love seeing our ambassadors out there competing, showing up week after week and bringing it every single time. Joe does it all with a Black Knight paddle in hand and results that speak for themselves.

Keep going, Joe. We are cheering you on.

Michael Hough and his doubles partner came to play and left with the win. Watching these two on the court is exactly why we do what we do.

The best part of pickleball is not always the rally.

It is the laugh after a shot that should have worked but absolutely did not. The conversation at the net that goes way longer than it should. The group that showed up as strangers and left making plans for next week.

A Black Knight Columbia athlete. Competing at the highest level of professional squash on the world stage. A PSA World Ranking of 56. And a Pan-American Games Gold Medal from Lima 2019 in mixed doubles.
