Congrats on a season that had EVERYTHING !

Marlins lose in the semifinal to Consort Cubs 6-3 in a shortened 5 inning game due to an influx of smoke in the area. Eli Cummings-Ursel as the starting pitcher, threw 4 innings, allowing 3 runs - 2 earned and 6 hits. Tyler Drummond came in to face the top of the Cubs order in the 5th. In the end, the Marlins bats couldn't get going as the bases were loaded with 1 out in the bottom of the 5th, and we could only muster 1 run. Offensive performer of the game was Josh Sveistrup who went 1-1 with 2 walks, 2 runs and 2 stolen bases. This ends a fantastic season for the Marlins. A big thanks to the Coaching Staff as well as the Support Staff; creating a fun atmosphere for all the players as well as parents. Congratulations to the 13u Marlins team on all of your accomplishments!

Marlins lose a heartbreaker to the Consort Cubs 14-13 in the bottom of the 7th. Nash Lenton had another great game going 4-4 with 3 doubles, 3 runs scored plus a walk. They received some strong pitching from Grayson Rome, Carson Reid, Beckett Boguski and Sébastien Shakotko.

We end the Westerns round robin play 2-1 and await the results of the last round robin game to find out our seed in the playoffs Sunday.

This right here is what it's all about. One of our 9U players Ruby Schurman was selected to be the bat girl for Team Manitoba for the 16U girls nationals. Safe to say that she fit right in and they took her in as one of their own. Tonight, the entire team and staff showed up to cheer her on for her own game and brought treats for her entire team! Way to go Ruby and Team Manitoba!

Our Fall Baseball Program begins tomorrow, Saturday August 19th!

Here is what you need to know:

Start time is 12pm at Simplot Park in Brandon. End time is 4pm. (Plan to arrive shortly before 12pm).

Athletes will be split into their designated teams & given jerseys and hats.

Please bring all equipment to be prepared to play a game. Catchers must have their own equipment.

All games will be coached & have umpires.
6 inning games. Counts will start at 1-1. No player will play more than 2 consecutive innings at the same position.

We are looking forward to tomorrow, see you all there!
