Classical karate classes
Classes for Children Ages 4+ to Adults on evenings and weekend. Belts are rewarded based on hard work.

Goju-Ryu (Hard Soft Style) Karate is the primary style that students will learn. This style focuses on kata, blocks, grabs, holds, strikes, and takedowns that are taught at an age appropriate time. A hard earned yellow belt is better then a cheaply earned higher colour belt. Children's Program:
The karate program is geared to teach children discipline, self-defense, confidence, street proofing and

over all build a strong foundation in fundamentals that will apply throughout their life. Youth & Adult Program:
The focusis to start with training basic principles designed to establish a strong foundation defending one self. Focus of the training is blocks, grabs, strikes, holds, and takedowns.

With all the chaos, uncertainty and complexity of daily life our attention gets pulled in a million different directions. That can cause stress, poor mood, memory issues and other negative impacts.

Sometimes we think we’re managing ok – but really are we just surviving or are we thriving?

If you want to thrive, you need to practice techniques that allow you to manage how your brain reacts to being busy, under pressure and subjected to the many distractions you encounter each day.

So what’s the one way to improve your focus? Well, trying to think positive thoughts doesn’t work. Trying to force yourself to relax doesn’t work. Pressuring yourself to “focus better” doesn’t work. Avoiding things or thoughts that are stressful doesn’t even work.

According to the psychology book “Peak Mind” the answer is doing at least 12 minutes a day of “mindfulness” practice.

Martial artists have practiced mindfulness for hundreds of years, and one of our black belts has created an online, self-directed learning program based on mindfulness for you to benefit from.
