Our premier product, the Original Hunter blaze orange molle vest, was first envisioned in 2009, while a father helped his son prepare for a combat tour to Afghanistan with the Canadian Armed Forces. As we arranged an infantry tactical rig and prepared for the challenges ahead, the notion of a unique style hunting vest emerged.
Avid outdoorsmen for the past thirty-five years, we’ve carried gear in jacket pockets, backpacks, f***y packs and everything in between. While every individual has their ‘system’, we kept finding predictable limitations with each - they were noisy, challenging to organize, or uncomfortable. The solution was never a newer jacket or better backpack though - the solution was a load-bearing vest.
Load-bearing vests - first adopted by militaries over a century ago - enable the body to carry mass centrally around its core instead of behind the spine. For hunters who wear them, this means a less strenuous overall experience and immediate access to essential pieces of equipment as they’re needed regardless of climate, vocation, or terrain. With these you can wear a singular high-volume garment over any clothing while guaranteeing items are always externally and conveniently available.
Our high-visibility blaze orange load-bearing vests are designed to comfortably provide instant proximity to mission-essential kit throughout sustained expedition activities. It also distributes weight on the body while allowing for flexible pouch configurations and maximum comfort for the wearer. All vests are made with water resistant 900D polyester and can accommodate a 2.5L hydration bladder. The standard mil spec (PALS) molle webbing allows customizable storage for equipment. It meets all safety requirements for hunter orange throughout Canada and the United States. Durability, practicality, and comfort in one design.
