Bradford Bulldogs Open Registration for NHL/NHLPA First Shift Program
The Bradford Bulldogs are excited to announce that registration is now open for the NHL/NHLPA First Shift program, the perfect introduction to hockey for children who have never played before.
Designed for boys and girls ages 6 to 10, First Shift helps families take their first step into the game in a fun, welcoming, and affordable environment. The program was created to remove many of the barriers that often prevent families from trying hockey, making it easier than ever for children to experience Canada's game.
For just $299, participants receive a complete set of brand-new Bauer hockey equipment from head to toe, professional instruction, insurance coverage, a welcome event with equipment fitting, and six on-ice sessions focused on fun and skill development. Best of all, players keep all of the equipment at the end of the program.
The six-week program follows Hockey Canada's learn-to-play curriculum, introducing participants to skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through engaging games and activities. The emphasis is on building confidence, developing basic skills, and most importantly, having fun on the ice.
First Shift is specifically designed for children who have never been registered in minor hockey before. The program provides a supportive environment where new players can learn at their own pace while making new friends and discovering a lifelong love of the sport.
Spots are limited and programs across Canada regularly fill quickly, so families are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
