Hello everyone!

After 7 amazing summers of teaching and growing my swimming lessons business, I wanted to share a small update 🐠

This season, I’ll be taking on only a limited number of clients as I begin to slowly wrap up this chapter in my life. While my availability is more limited, I’m so grateful to still spend some time in the pool doing what I love.

I also want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me over the years — from the families who trusted me with their kids, to those who recommended me, encouraged me, and cheered me on along the way. This little business has meant so much to me, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to one more summer of making a few more memories in the water

🐙𝒜 𝐵𝐼𝒢 𝒜𝒩𝒩𝒪𝒰𝒩𝒞𝐸𝑀𝐸𝒩𝒯 🌊

After 6 amazing years of offering swimming lessons, I've decided to take a well-deserved break this 2025 summer season. It's been such a rewarding experience, and I want to thank each and every one of you who has trusted me to help you or your little ones grow in the water.

While I’m hitting the pause button this season, there’s a chance I may return next summer, depending on what life has in store. Keep an eye out for updates, and I’ll keep you posted on any changes.

Thank you all for your support and for making this journey unforgettable. If you’re in need of lessons in the meantime, I’ll be happy to recommend some wonderful instructors who can help you out.

Water’s Magic Trick: Disappearing People

If you have been around here long enough, you know that weekly we share images from our series "What's Under the Water?"

This is a fun way for us to remind people that looking through water is challenging.

Water can perform a magic trick of making things disappear.

We hear in drowning events that the responder thought the person was a shadow, or a towel, or a pile of leaves on the bottom when in reality it was a person and the water was playing a trick on us.

This can cause a delay in response or a lack of response. Our brains often want concrete information before we do something drastic and attention getting like jumping in the water.

This hesitation is real (and normal), but we hope by sharing these images it starts to make them more in your comfort zone and awareness of what it could look like.

Surface agitation can be a huge contributor to visibility in the water. Take a look at this image and see how a person practically disappears.

Hello everyone!!

I wanted to keep you all in the loop of life and provide you some insight regarding this summer. As most of you know, I’ve been in the process of becoming a full time career firefighter over the last few years, and my goal has finally come to fruition.
I unfortunately won't be able to operate at the same capacity as previous summers due to my new opportunity.
At this time, I have given priority to families who have been with me since I started my business.

If there are any availability changes I will post it on this page. Priority would be given to any previous families I have taught (must reside in Clarington)

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, looking forward to seeing some of you this summer.
