We are pumped to announce the 12th Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament is locked in for June 12, 13 & 14, 2026!

This year, we’re leveling up with a twist—our newly refurbished Diamond, "Kelly Byam Memorial Diamond" means we’re bringing in 24 TEAMS for an epic showdown! ⚾🔥

This year’s tournament was truly something special.

Thanks to the incredible support from the Town of Bow Island Public Works, North Forty Mile Recreation Society, Jayco Builders, and the Island 100 Initiative, we were able to transform Diamond C into the Kelly Byam Memorial Diamond.

For those who knew Kelly, he was someone who made the most of his days off—playing ball, enjoying life, and cherishing time with his family. On Friday, during the Bow Island Fire Department vs. Junior/High School game, we had the honour of surprising the Byam family and inviting them to help us complete the final touches on the diamond. It was a moment filled with emotion and pride.

Thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support. Together, with love and community spirit, we created something truly meaningful. ❤️

We can’t wait to take the field soon and continue making memories—for Kelly.

A huge thank you for all the teams coming out this year for the 11th Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament! It was an absolute blast & we can’t wait to see you guys next year! 🎉

A huge thank you goes out to our Rec Society Staff Ryan, Kelly, Kim, Natalie, Jason, Karen, Terryn, Tanner & Lindsay, you guys absolutely rocked it this weekend 🥳

Also a huge thank you to our Marshal Robin Knibbs, without his dedication our tournament wouldn’t have ran as smoothly!
