📣 On September 21st we’re trading our skates for sneakers to cross the Confederation Bridge to raise money for cancer research.

We’re no strangers to driving this 13km bridge, but running it? That’s a whole new challenge! Our team is aiming to raise $500 to support the Terry Fox Foundation’s incredible work.

✨ Fun fact: Terry took the ferry to PEI back in May 1980, because the Confederation Bridge didn’t exist. As he ran across the Island, Terry was thrilled to surpass $100,000 in funds raised AND officially log more than 1,000 miles of his journey. (Canada wasn’t using the metric system yet, so the distance was tallied in miles!)

🌟 Guest Coach Alert! 🌟

A few weeks ago we were lucky to have Santa () join us for practice, leading a session on hockey stops and stride work. 🛼✨

Santa has skated all over the world with top-ranked WFTDA teams (Toronto Roller Derby and Tri-City) and on the international stage with Team Philippines at the World Cup. She brought not only a wealth of knowledge and skill, but also the kind of energy and enthusiasm that pushes everyone to bring their A-game!

Think you’re too good for skills? Think again. Whether you’ve been skating for months or decades, there’s always room to sharpen those edges, stops, and stride.

Some of our skaters headed to Halifax last weekend for the Derby Skills Clinic with Yeti or Not, Here I Come! 🛼

We had an awesome time learning new offensive drills and skills from one of the best, and we can't wait to share what we learned with the team!

Huge thanks to Anchor City Rollers for hosting and bringing such a great opportunity to our Atlantic Pals 🦞❤
