Premier 3 Recap– 4th Place Finish

Rhinos 16U Black entered P3 with one clear goal: compete for every point. Their drive, unity, and determination led to a perfect 4–0 finish on Day 1.

They built momentum quickly, cruising through their opening match before facing a tough challenge against Dome Defenders Navy. After narrowly dropping the first set 26–24, the Rhinos showed resilience and composure, rallying to win the next two. That energy carried forward as they defeated YYC Eagles to secure top spot in their pool.

In crossover play, the Rhinos faced rival Empire Gold, who had beaten them in P1. This time, they flipped the script—playing with focus and cohesion to earn a straight-sets victory.

Day 2 opened with a quarterfinal matchup against Dome Defenders Teal. The Rhinos claimed the first set decisively, then held their nerve in a tight second set to close it out 27–25.

The semifinal brought a rematch with YYC Eagles, the eventual Premier champions. The Rhinos competed with grit and determination but fell in two hard-fought sets.

In the bronze medal match against Thunder Gold—with a Division 1 Provincials spot on the line—the Rhinos gave everything they had. After a narrow 26–24 loss in the first set, they responded with intensity to force a third. In a dramatic finish, they held a 15–14 lead, but Thunder edged ahead to take it 17–15.

A tough ending, but an outstanding performance. The Rhinos competed with heart, resilience, and pride every step of the way.
