Pro Tip of the week is from Maghalie Rochette today:

"When you are heading in a corner, look up. I have a tendency to bring my head down when I'm suffering, but it makes a world of difference when you are able to look up. You'll be able to come in a corner much faster if you are looking where you want to go because your body will go where your head is going and you will know what's coming and that will give you the confidence and to come in faster.

The CX LUNA Pro tip

This week's pro tip comes from Catharine Pendrel MTB. Catharine recently won the MTB World Cup overall title, she is a Rio Olympic bronze medallist and has had several successes in cyclocross as well (Podium in CrossVegas Cyclocross Race, former Canadian National Champion, etc.)

Here is Catharine's tip: "When heading into a series of corners look to set it up for the fastest speed out of the last one. Depending on the course, this may mean entering slower in a light gear for the fastest exit."

I decided to start a new project called Faces of Cross. There is a lof of info out there about racers, but what about all these other people who make the 'cross circus work? With this project, my goal is to get to know everyone around the 'cross scene from mechanics to journalist, to photograph, to race organizers, etc.

My first "guinea pig" was Daimeon Shanks and I think he nailed it - thank's Daimo!

Georgia: "Don't rush your dismount or remount- giving yourself a few extra steps before and after the barriers/run up can help you feel less flustered and make your remount smoother. Use your preride to figure out where the best places are to get on/off your bike."

I've been riding a lot on bike paths lately. It's awesome to see so many people riding out there, but it seems like a lot of people are riding without helmets... I don't really get it. Helmets are cool! GiroSportDesign

J'ai roulé beaucoup sur la piste cyclable dernièrement. C'est génial de voir autant de gens rouler dehors, mais il me semble que plusieurs personnes pédalent sans casque... Je n'arrive pas à comprendre. Croyez-moi; en vélo, c'est "cool" de porter un casque!
