Ridgeview Farm’s Lexy Girl

A registered 5 yr. old Kentucky Mt. mare standing15.1 h born and raised on our farm . Lexy was imprinted at birth and subsequently trained using natural horsemanship methods. She was started under saddle at 2 and has extensive trail experience here in Ontario plus 3 winters in the Tennessee mountains.
is an extremely calm , quiet and respectful trail horse. She stands quietly to mount and remains standing until asked to move. Lexy is very comfortable on her own or riding with a group. She is comfortable in the lead ,in the middle or at the back. Road traffic doesn’t pose any problems as she has been exposed to cars, trucks, atv’s and motorcycles.
Lexy can easily handle a large adult male and is equally comfortable with a novice rider or a child. She has a soft mouth and gives easily to leg and rein pressure. She is trained to perform a one-rein emergency stop if the situation calls for it.
Besides being a solid trail horse Lexy is also trained to drive and also use to draw firewood from the woods
Lexy is solid quiet horse with a very layed back personality. She is happiest taking leisurely paced trail rides. She fits in well with other horses as she is lower in the pecking order.

After a 5 year hiatus Ridgeview's Blue Frost is coming home for good

Dusty is a 6 year old Kentucky Mountain Gelding. He stands 14 hh. He is registered and certified with the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association (201609013). Dusty is very quiet and has a wonderfully smooth gait. He has been ridden multiple times in the Ganaraska Forest and behaves like a true gentlemen. We have to trailer our horses back and forth to the forest so he has lots of experience loading and unloading. He stands quietly for the farrier and vet and like any other horse loves to spend time being groomed. Dusty goes barefoot and has very hard solid feet. Missy is a 9 yr. old chocolate mare with a flaxen mane/tail. She is 14.2 hands and is a very solid and experienced horse. Her gait is solid and very smooth, which provides an excellent ride. She is light in the bridle and very responsive. She will walk quietly on a loose rein, stands solid for mounting. Missy will ride alone or in a group. She is solid with traffic, ATV'S, motorcycles, etc. Missy would make a great partner for a novice or experienced rider.

Blue is a 3yr. old Registered Spotted Mountain Horse, 14.3 h. She is a Blue Sabino with a blue/gray mane and silver tail. This is a young mare who is solid under saddle and possesses an amazing gait. She is very soft in the bridle and very responsive to the riders cues. She is very happy to be around people as she seeks you out . She is solid on the trails and on the road. Her manners are impeccable. Blue is an exceptional young horse both in appearance and in ablity.

Promise is a gorgeous Chocolate 8 yr.old mare, 14.3 h, with a flaxen mane/tail. This girl has the looks and the personality to go with it. Promise has just shedded out to a rich dark chocolate colour and has 4 white socks to enhance it. She is a quiet outgoing curious girl who wants to be around you. Her gait is solid and her manners are as well. She is very experienced, will ride alone or in a group.

“T” is 14.2h chocolate registered Kentucky Mountain gelding, chocolate with a flaxen mane/tail . This 5yr.old gelding is a proven trail horse both here in Ontario and in the mountain areas of southern Kentucky. “T” is extremely solid in his gait producing a very smooth, consistent ride. He will ride alone or in a group but prefers to be near the front. He is solid with vehicles passing - ATVs and bikes. Tonka likes to seek you out and be with you and has a curious personality. He is very well mannered and sweet
