We were at the park this afternoon prepared to replace the broken hinge on the men’s outhouse but someone beat us to it. Thanks for the assistance, this kind of surprise is very welcome.

Just want to let everyone that a bear has been spotted several times including today. It has not shown any signs of aggression and Fish & Wildlife has been notified. Please let us know if you witness any signs of aggression from the bear. Fish & Wildlife will continue to monitor with our help.

There have been reports of a bear hanging around in the park so everyone please be bear aware and please take your garbage home with you so it doesn’t entice him to stay around.

We would like to remind everyone that we are a wilderness park and to make noise while out walking. It is that time of the year that bears are increasing their food intake and the berries are out or will be shortly. Be bear aware!!!
