🥇The Girls U15 Belleville Lightning had an incredible weekend in Ottawa at the Otto Cup Tournament. We started strong on Saturday with two solid wins over Russel and OSU.
The games were highlighted by solid defensive play, flowing passing and some highlight reel goals including some amazing finishes off corner crosses. The girls continued their stellar play on Sunday morning finishing off the round robin undefeated beating the host Atletico club.
The team then played a dominating game in the rainy final winning 2-0 and capturing the gold medal and Otto Cup. Alyvia Thompson scored both goals and capped her incredibly strong tournament.  The weekend was a true team effort with contributions by every player at their positions. The teams development has been a joy to watch and we look forward to more incredible games.

Good luck to our U8 & U9 Development Teams this weekend!

Next weekend is the Kick-off to our U8 & U9 Festival Series! We have 25 teams from one end of the District to the other, coming together at John Machin Mini Fields for a day full of fun.
Thank you to our host, Kingston United Soccer Club.
Each player will receive a special SOSA Surprise from Board members. As well, players can buy tickets to win a Lego FIFA Trophy or a Canada Youth jersey!
