Alrighty everyone,
First post of the season belongs to the home of the ! Belleville’s CAA Arena (a.ka Yardmen Arena) was built in 1978 for the OHA and then later OHL’s Belleville Bulls. The Bulls departed for Hamilton in 2015. In 2017 the moved their AHL affiliate into Belleville and the outdated Yardmen was given a facelift. In fact, arena looks brand new. I love the seating, makes for a more intimate and fan-friendly game experience compared to the much larger arenas in the AHL (cough, cough Cleveland). It’s impossible to tell that it was built before 2010, let alone in the 1970s. This stunning facility also hosts a few smaller arenas for minor hockey, a pool and an indoor running track among other things. Beautiful arena. You gotta check this out! @ CAA Arena
