All baseball diamonds are closed and tonight's Parks Concert Series event at Lakeview Park has been cancelled.

After heavy rain, high winds, and suspected tornadoes this week, Lakeshore staff continue to assess damage from the storm.

Here are a few important reminders as clean-up efforts continue:
🔵If you experienced flooding, please contact Lakeshore's Public Service Unit for follow up by staff.
🔵Report problems and concerns through Lakeshore’s Public Service Unit by phone at 519-728-2700 or online at Lakeshore.ca/ReportAProblem
🔵Call 911 for issues that are an immediate threat to health and safety.
🔵Follow yard waste disposal guidelines for branches.

The Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority is also offering a ‘grace period’ for residents using double-axle trailers to drop off branches from the recent storm. Residents dropping off yard waste and branches will not be charged a fee until September 30, 2026.

📢 ATRC Facility Maintenance Notice

The Muzatti Gymnasium will be closed for maintenance from September 17 to October 4. All drop-in programs scheduled in the gymnasium will be cancelled during this time.

The Renaud Room and Program Rooms will also close in phases throughout September for maintenance. Non-aquatic community programming will begin on October 5.

🏊 ATRC WFCU Community Pools Closure

The ATRC WFCU Community Pools will be closed from September 8 to September 30 for regular preventative maintenance.

Aquatic drop-in programs will resume on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Active memberships as of September 8 will be extended for the length of the closure.

🏓 Court Notice: LPA Club Championship

The Lakeshore Pickleball Association will host its Club Championship on Saturday, August 29, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.

Courts will be reserved for the tournament and unavailable to key holders from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM

🚧Please be advised, a portion of the parking lot at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre will be closed for Lakeshore summer camp activities from 6 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

The closure will affect the northwest section of the main parking lot (in front of the Rock Rink). Additional accessible parking spaces are available throughout the parking lot.
