We have been victim to more vandalism at the Helping Hands Playground. This week alone, we have damage to our slide, both swings are broken, soccer nets are cut once again, shattered glass, graffiti on the stage and multiple pieces of equipment.

It’s really sad that people find this amusing. So many children play at this park and use this equipment. It’s supposed to be a safe place for all children. We are extremely disappointed in members of our community for these actions. Cameras will be installed at the playground and the RCMP will be notified of any further vandalism. Please remind your children of the importance of respecting our playground and keeping it safe for all users.

The ice may be off, but that don’t mean we are closed.

The arena is available for floor hockey rentals, summer birthday parties, professional meeting spaces and much more all summer long!

Our weekend late night RINKY-DINKY operation will be back this summer to take care of all your late night eating needs🍟

That’s a wrap on the 2022-2023 season for the Monsignor Bartlett Memorial Arena.

What an incredible year it has been for our small town community recreation facility. Financially the best year since 2017. This could not be made possible without our amazing supportive clients.

Special shoutouts to our dedicated RINKY DINKY staff who were always there to serve you with a smile. Serving up the best fries on the Avalon!! Thank you Charlene Bickford, Jeanette Ricketts, Shelley Rouzes & Shi Hickey.

On behalf of the Town of Wabana Management I would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support at our arena this year. All proceeds go directly back into recreational programs for children, youth and seniors. Thank you Bell Island. Stay tuned for our upcoming summer events.
